Prospecting is a precise business. Targeting the right people or companies in just the right areas will reduce expenses on mailing services, printing and postage. Use these tips:
  • Analyze what geographic areas are least productive for you.
  • Identify which geographic areas are most productive.
  • Make sure your lists are squeaky clean.
  • Evaluate which customers are your most productive; what characteristics do they share?
  • Collect emails on all customers and prospects so you can build a better database that will allow you to use multiple channels to contact for additional business.
  • Ask for referrals from your customers. Give incentives for referrals.
